Light is a key concept in Elysium, unless you have special abilities that allow you to see in the dark, you will always need a light source, either the sun if you are outside during the day, or an artificial light source such as a lantern, torch, or more magical/exotic options.
Light is also the name of an ability in the Channeling skill group.
