In Game Description
Botany is the skill of cultivating flowering plants. A master of botany will be able to grow a variety of different flowers and understand what is needed to keep them healthy.
Over the longer term of growing flowers, you will be able to cultivate different varieties of the same flowers, selecting seeds to focus on colour changes and eventually growing flowers with rare or exotic colouring and variations.
Advanced botanists will learn the 'seedgather' ability to gather wild seeds and bulbs. Some locations will mention flowers in their description, and seedgather should allow you to gather the type of flower described in the room - If it doesn't or you think it should give you seeds for a different type of flower you can use 'seedgather request' in a room to flag it as needing review, or can use seedgather request < flower type>' to suggest a specific flower type. Grassland locations without flowers mentioned in the description will yield more common flower seed types.
There is also an ability to obtain seeds from flower items, which can be used on some flower items obtained with methods other than botany. If you find a flower item you think you should be able to take seeds from and grow them with botany, please log an idea report.
