Butchery
In Game Description
Butchery is the skill of converting raw meat into edible portions which can be consumed for sustenance.
While anyone can use the 'carve' ability to turn corpses into carcasses, most people are reliant on industrial butchers to convert those carcasses into meat; However as a butcher yourself, you will be able to use the primary ability in Butchery 'butcher', to convert the carcasses directly. While meat obtained from a butchers industry will likely be beef, chicken, or similar, meat you butcher yourselves type will be determined by the type of corpse you got the carcasses from.
Once you have obtained meat commodity, you can use the 'meatassess' ability to see what kinds of products you can convert the meat into. The type of products you can make, such as steaks or sausages, depend on which abilities you have learned in Butchery, but as your skill grows you'll also be able to influence what type of steak or sausage the items appear to be.
At lower levels you'll only be able to make products that match the type of meat, but more skilled butchers can disguise the original meat, and for example you could make sausages from chicken meat and pass them off as turkey sausages if you're skilled enough. This skill level is mostly determined by how many and which Butchery abilities you learn, however if you are highly skilled in other crafting related skills this will result in a boost in your Butchery skill level too. Some meat, which people wouldn't normally want to eat, cannot be made into products at all unless you are sufficiently skilled.
Once you've decided what product you want to make and checked that you can make it with the meat in question, you can make the product with the following syntax;
butchery create ‹meat type> ‹product type> from ‹meat commodity>
So in our previous example, if you have some meat that came from a chicken NPC, and you want to make turkey sausages from it, you would type 'butchery create turkey sausages from meat', and if you're skilled enough, this would work.
With Butchery you can make a much wider variety of foods than an industrial butchers would make, including some fairly exotic options. You should experiment with the different meat types and abilities to find your favourite products.
