Cidermaking
In Game Description
Cidermaking is the skill of using a cider press to create fruit pulp and a fermentation tank to convert that pulp into delicious cider using yeast to ferment it.
As you advance in your ability, you'll learn to make different types of cider, eventually culminating in the ability to make mixed cider from raw fruit harvested from the trees.
You start out with the raw product - Initially this will be apples, though advanced cidermakers may use other items. You will take this product and crush it into pulp using a cider press; Put the product you want to crush into the cider press, for example 'put apple into press', and then use the 'ciderpress' ability.
This will give you pulp of the relevant type. You now need a cider fermentation tank, and you can use the relevant fermentation ability to add the pulp or yeast into the tank, for example;
appleferment <apple pulp> into <tank> appleferment <yeast> into <tank>
Once there is both pulp and yeast in a fermentation tank, it will gradually convert the pulp and juice into alcoholic cider. Once this process is complete you can drain off the cider into a barrel or other container;
drain <tank> into <container>
You can also 'clean out <tank>' to remove pulp or yeast you no longer want to ferment, though be aware this will also waste any already fermented cider if you don't drain it first.
Learning
Cidermaking is taught by Rubgru Metchu in Ruk'tan.
