Emotions

Elysium lets you express yourself in several different ways.

Firstly, you can type one of many keywords which let you smile, cheer, cry, laugh...the list goes on. For a list of some other available emotions, type help socials.

Secondly, you may use emote-says. This is an easy way to show emotion within your says. To use them type:

say #<type of emotion> <say>

The emotions you can use here are mutter, answer, laugh, snap, smile, sigh, disappointed.

Finally, you can create your own emotions. By typing emote <text>, every other player in your location will see the text <yourname> <text>.

For example, if you typed emote chuckles heartily and your character's name was Lornon, the other players in your location would see:

Lornon chuckles heartily

You can expand on this by mixing speech with emotion...

emote chuckles heartily and says, "So, where do you want to go?"

Just use your imagination...

You can also complicate your emotions further, by indicating specific people in your emote, by refering to them with /<name>. In this case, everyone but the person you are indicating will see their name, and that person will see 'you' instead. So if you are Lornon, and want to chuckle at Ilrien, you would type emote chuckles at /ilrien. Then everyone but Ilrien would see:

Lornon chuckles at Ilrien

While Ilrien would see:

Lornon chuckles at you
