Governance

In addition to 'citystatus', a member of a cities government can see various statistics relating to the governments performance in ruling their city.

Type governance status to see these statistics. Industrial jobs in the city is a direct figure of how many jobs are created by the industries controlled by the city.

This figure can be raised or lowered by changing the industrial makeup of the cities holdings.

Your cities economy rating is an evaluation by economists on how business friendly your city is, and how attractive it is to merchants and other business men who might bring money into your city.

The next figure shows how much of your citizenry are aristocrats. The aristocratic part of your city tends to be better off financially, better educated, and better behaved.

Next is the literacy figure - How many of your citizens can read and write. A more highly educated citizenry is generally easier and more efficient to manage.

Next up is the health rating of your city - How much of your population has curable diseases. If your city has plenty of medical alchemists and the best in modern medicine, these petty diseases and conditions can easily be cured, so a high percentage here indicates that your city is wallowing in mediocrity.

Finally there are the number of crimes reported to the Justice Ministry each day. Most of these would be petty crimes such as pickpocketing or shoplifting, but obviously there would be some more serious crimes such as assault or murder as well.

There are various ways of modifying all these figures - For example a high tax rate can cause your economic rating to drop, and a better educated populous is less likely to commit crimes. All the figures are inter related, and raising one can result in others raising or dropping.

Governance statistics are updated once an Elysium week.
